La Verne, Calif. -- The #16 Bombers opened the season with a 14-4 win at La Verne Sunday.

Senior outfielder Jeremy Peters (Thomas R. Proctor/Utica) collected three hits (including a double), three RBI's and three runs. Junior second baseman Todd Czerno (Columbia/Brainard) had two hits -- one was his first career home run -- and two RBI's. Junior first baseman Eric Ferguson (Columbia/East Greenbush) added two hits and two RBI's.

Junior Nick Sottung (Pulasksi/Pulaski) earned the win, improving to 16-3 in his career.

Ithaca faces #20 Kean Monday.
